South Park Spec Script Preface:
South Park is an adult comedy animation that's been around since the late 1990's. The TV show is iconic for its deep offensive satire of every popular issue happening in the world at some point.

Though they are offensive, Trey Parker and Matt Stone are truly talented for their storylines and themes.
This spec script was submitted to a writing competition back in late 2020 before South Park released their Coronavirus episode. The mask mandate, the six-foot rule, along with the heavy tensions between science and comfortability (you know, like needing haircuts or spreading a deadly virus), were being challenged.

Before reading this script, it may be a good refresher to watch some episodes from season 7 since these characters reflect more from that season, however, it still takes place with the newer seasons which is why Tegrity Farms is mentioned instead of Stan's original house.

*Disclaimers: This is a spec script and therefore, these characters are based completely on the show South Park not associated with B. A. Steele in any way. This is for free entertainment purposes only. This spec was based on the South Park characters and does not reflect the spec writer's true nature.
Warning, language and situations are graphic throughout the spec script.
Script Summary
The Coronavirus has struck South Park and half the town is not happy about it. Cartman must find a way to get rid of the mask mandate so Kyle can stop telling him what to do. Randy is too embarrassed to be seen at the grocery store with a mask on which makes Sharon mad.
More About The Work
The spec did not win, but it is still fun to read, especially if you are a South Park fan! Since B. A. Steele Publishing is focusing on a documentary and novel series, the writing competitions are on pause. However, if this spec were to be reused, some story adjustments would be vetted. Also the action direction descriptions and scene headings would need some more additions/editing. Always improve your work if you can!

B. A. Steele grew up watching South Park, SNL, and Family Guy. When she was too young to watch these shows, she would sneak in snip bits while her oldest sister watched and had her explain the comedic irony she was too young to comprehend herself.

Over the years, B. A. Steele appreciated seeing the connection between world issues in a different point of view; funny and dark with comedy, instead of upsetting and real. Satire helps add perspective and push the limits of what morals are supposed to be.
